Mr. Sedakis-
To address your concerns:
1. There are a number of people who would donate money to us despite our alleged lack of official paperwork. In fact, several dozen people have already contributed nearly $1700 to us, as you can see on our "Bank Statement" page. Originally, the organization was conceived with the intent that it would not be an official organization, but rather we would have a bank account that people could donate to, and we would keep track of all credits and debits on our site. We have since taken the direction of becoming a government-recognized 501 c (3) non-profit organization and are currently in the process of completing the necessary paperwork to do so.
2. Your allegation that we do not have any legal paperwork in Michigan is inaccurate and libelous. On April 30th, 2009 I received a letter from the Michigan Department of Attorney General notifying me of the need to register the organization in compliance with the Charitable Organizations and Solicitations Act, 1975PA 169, MCL 400.271 et seq. (COSA) and the Supervision of Trustees for Charitable Purposes Act, 1961 PA 101, MCL 14.251 et seq. (STCPA). I filled out the INITIAL SOLICITATION APPLICATION / REGISTRATION form and mailed it in within the required 30-day time frame. Either the person you spoke to was unaware of this or you are outright lying.
3. I will save you the time, effort, and money involved in determining the ownership of the houses by telling you that I am the owner of the houses and the titles are in my name.
You have obviously spent a lot of time and expelled a lot of effort in order to discredit our organization. We are just two people who had an idea and decided to act on it. I have to wonder why you feel it is necessary to insinuate that we are somehow trying to defraud the public.
If you have any questions or anything else you wish to address, please send an e-mail to the address listed at the bottom of this page.
